Where We Started

From a local service problem to a structured marketplace

CharterTasks started with a simple problem: people need reliable local help, but the process of finding, contacting, and managing service providers often feels scattered. The platform was shaped around making that experience clearer for customers and more organized for freelancers.

Problem

Local work needed a cleaner process

Customers often need help with repairs, cleaning, maintenance, assembly, gardening, and everyday services, but the process can be unclear. Who is available? Who fits the job? How does the job move forward?

CharterTasks was built to reduce that uncertainty by placing job requests, user profiles, communication, and workflow steps into one platform.

Freelancers

Independent workers needed better access

Freelancers need more than a place to be listed. They need a profile, service categories, job access, customer communication, and a way to show trust signals such as verification where applicable.

The platform gives freelancers a clearer structure for setting up their presence and connecting with job opportunities.

Marketplace

Both sides needed a shared workflow

A marketplace works better when both sides understand what happens next. CharterTasks uses account flows, job statuses, messages, notifications, and policy pages to support a more transparent process.

How the platform started taking shape

The build focuses on the core marketplace first, then expands into advanced tools as the platform grows.
